We were very proud to show them off, and when we revealed the price....jaws dropped! The best part was, I was able to sell my Solomon for more than the price I paid for one of yours.

Hurlingham Mallets

Each
$115(NZD)

The Hurlingham mallets are a traditional style mallet perfectly suitable for home garden play but not normally used in clubs. They're not weighted with lead like the competition mallets but are well balanced with an average weight of 2.00lbs 14oz.

Heads

Made from stunning Indian Rosewood, the heads are turned to a tradition cylindrical shape with an inlaid sighting line. The brass rings are heated before being pressed over the ends and screwed firmly in place. Not only does the polished brass look great, but it eliminates the chances of splitting the edges of mallet head from off center shots. Unlike the Original mallets they don’t have lead weights or phenolic end plates. The end grain of the timber therefore does compress with use.

Handles

Only clear American white ash is used for the mallet handles. This timber has proven its resilience over the test of time. The lower half of the handle is turned on a copy lathe and the top half is shaped to a positive octagonal shape as used for the competition mallets. Normally they’re supplied with an overall length of 36” but they can be made to order in lengths between 32” – 38” at no extra charge.
