It contains competition mallets made to the exact specifications of World Champion player Joe Hogan. Unless otherwise requested all mallets are supplied with an overall weight of 3.00 lbs and measuring 36 inches. The mallets have black synthetic cushion grips fitted. Up to 6 letters may be stamped in gold on one side of the mallet heads at no extra charge. The set comes packaged in a solid pine chest.
The Pro-16 club level balls weigh the regulation 1 pound each and 3 5/8″ in diameter.
The 1/2″ welded iron hoops are powder coated to prevent rusting.
Every set carries a colour booklet with the official Croquet Association rules, US 6 wicket, US 9 Wicket and Golf Croquet Rules with some tips and tactics. Individual 11 mm thick powder coated solid steel hoops. Designed for home garden use. Sets of 6 of these are supplied in the Garden and Hurlingham sets. They’re 17.5″ long and have a gap between the uprights of 4″
For US 9 wicket croquet, add three of these plus a 6 player center peg to the cart to Americanize the set.
Set of 6 11 mm thick solid steel hoops. They’re powder coated white with one blue and one red top. These are extremely robust and economically priced hoops designed for home garden use. They’re 17.5″ long and have a gap between the uprights of 4″
Supplied as standard in our Garden and Hurlingham sets.
Set of 6 x 1/2″ hoops with welded 3/4″ solid cross bar. They’re 18″ long and the uprights are tubular with a gap of 3 7/8″. Powder coated white with one red and one blue top. Supplied in our Croquet Association sets.
Designed for use on astro turf and artificial grass surfaces, these hoops are easily placed and very stable. There’s a gap of 4 1/4″ between the uprights. A set of six comes with a finishing ring.
We can swap out the center peg, corner pegs and hoops for a set of Astro hoops to any of our sets. Just add NZ$245 to the price of the set.
Sold individually. The uprights of these hoops are made from 1/2″ tubular steel, which is welded to a 5/8″ top bar. They’re powder coated for a smooth and hard wearing finish that won’t rust. They measure 3 7/8″ between the uprights which is a little more forgiving than the regulation 3 3/4″.

If you want to “Americanize” a Garden or Hurlingham set to play nine wicket croquet, simply stipulate that you want three 11 mm bent iron wickets to match. Nine wicket croquet also requires an extra 6 color center peg.
Our top of the line championship croquet hoops
Approved by Croquet NZ for use in the 2008 World Championships and accorded championship and standard approval by the Croquet Associations equipment tester Dr Alan Pidcock. The uprights are 3 11/16″ apart.
Made from solid steel with turned carrots and 3/4″ uprights. Powder coated for a smooth hard wearing finish. Each set of six comes packed in a sturdy pine box with rope handles. Available as an optional extra with any of our sets. A set of 6 weighs 17.8 kilos. Also available in a nylon carry bag if preferred.
